    THE PRELIMINARY RESEARCH FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF IMPROVED DTC SCHEME OF HIGH PERFORMANCE PMSM DRIVES BASED ON FPGA

    The direct torque control (DTC) is one of control approache that is used commonly in PMSM control system. This method supports a very quick and precise torque response. However, the DTC method is not perfect and has some disadvantages. Many researchers have been proposed to modify the basic DTC scheme for PMSM drive. All this contributions allow performance to be improved, but at the same time they lead to more complex schemes. Furthermore, the PMSM drive control systems are usually based on microcontroller and DSP. Some researchers also have been used DSP and FPGA together to develop DTC for AC drives. These allow improving the performance, but they will increase cost. For the reason above, this paper proposed a new DTC scheme to apply only based on FPGA. The preliminary research showed that the proposed DTC sheme can reduce torque and flux ripples significantly. Therefore, this paper also recomend to realize proposed DTC scheme based on FPGA in order to support to execute very fast computation.The implementation is hoped that it will very potential to replace not only the induction motor but also the DC servo motor in a number of industrial process, commercial, domestic and modern military applications of high-performance drive

    AN OPTIMIZED SQUARE ROOT ALGORITHM FOR IMPLEMENTATION IN FPGA HARDWARE

    This paper presents an optimized digit-by-digit calculation method to solve complicated square root calculation in hardware, as a proposed simple algorithm for implementation in field programmable gate array (FPGA). The main principle of proposed method is two-bit shifting and subtracting-multiplexing operations, in order to achieve a simpler implementation and faster calculation. The proposed algorithm has conducted to implement FPGA based unsigned 32-bit and 64-bit binary square root successfully. The results have shown that proposed method is most efficient of hardware resource compare to other methods. In addition, the strategy can be expanded to larger number easily

    Sistem prediksi harga saham yang akurat sangat dibutuhkan oleh para investor untuk menentukan kebijakan (pengambilan keputusan) investasi masa datang. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengembangkan suatu sistem aplikasi prediksi harga saham berbasis web dengan sistem inferensi fuzi Tsukamoto. Masukan data untuk prediksi adalah berupa variabel permintaan, penawaran dan laju inflasi. Keluaran dari prediksi harga saham adalah nilai prediksi harga saham dalam periode tertentu berdasarkan perhitungan dengan sistem basis data fuzi. Sistem prediksi harga saham yang dirancang, diujikan untuk memprediksi harga saham Bursa Efek Jakarta (BEJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem aplikasi prediksi harga saham berbasis web dengan inferensi Tsukamoto dapat memprediksi harga saham dengan keakuratan yang tinggi dan mempunyai level penerimaan yang baik dari broker

    Space vector modulation (SVM) is the best modulation technique to drive 3-phase load such as 3-phase induction motor. In this paper, the pulse width modulation strategy with SVM is analyzed in detail. The modulation strategy uses switching time calculator to calculate the timing of voltage vector applied to the three-phase balanced-load. The principle of the space vector modulation strategy is performed using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation result indicates that this algorithm is flexible and suitable to use for advance vector control. The strategy of the switching minimizes the distortion of load current as well as loss due to minimize number of commutations in the inverter
